The head of the Anesthesia Research Center at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences said that it is necessary to use modern technologies in the field of anesthesia in the health system: Rapid developments in medical science and new technologies require the creation of communication paths between scientific research, industry, and the healthcare system.
According to the Public Relations Department of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Ali Dabbagh emphasized the use of an innovative event in the path of evolution of anesthesia knowledge, adding: “In fact, anesthesia is a new and dynamic field that focuses on the rapid transfer of scientific findings to the clinic and improving treatment processes in the operating room and intensive care.”
The professor of the Department of Anesthesiology at Shahid Beheshti University stated: “In this regard, the first congress on translational anesthesia, along with the first specialized anesthesia technology fair, a unique event in Iran and the region, will be held next year at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.”
He pointed out that this congress will be held with the aim of combining anesthesia knowledge with advanced technologies and applied innovations, and continued: “In this congress, the latest scientific advances, the application of artificial intelligence in anesthesia, the development of smart drugs, digital twins in anesthesia, regenerative medicine in anesthesia, pain and critical care, new imaging techniques, and methods for optimizing patient safety will be discussed and examined.”
According to him, what distinguishes this congress from other scientific events is the simultaneous holding of the first specialized anesthesia tech fair, which provides a special opportunity for direct interaction between researchers, startups, knowledge-based companies, hospitals, and investors in the health sector.
He continued: “The first combined event of translational anesthesia and tech bazaar in the country, a special focus on the role of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and biomaterials in anesthesia, the presence of leading international experts from leading countries in anesthesia sciences and health technologies, creating an opportunity for knowledge-based companies and startups in the field of medical equipment and anesthesia drugs, convergence between industry, academia, and the health system to develop new therapeutic solutions, holding workshops in the field of anesthesia and innovation with an interdisciplinary research approach in anesthesia, pain, and critical care will be among the axes and achievements of the aforementioned congress.”
